Logistics
Erstwhile SEFICS (Société d’Exploitation Ferroviaire des ICS) got merged with ICS in the year 2015. Raw material in one direction and finished products in the other, between the different industrial sites (DAROU, MBAO and the Dakar Port Terminal) are managed by ICS’s owned extensive railway services.
MAJOR RAIL FRIEGHT OPERATOR IN SENEGAL:
ICS runs trains everyday. Terminal Yards – at Darou for loading Phosphoric Acid; at Dakar Port for loading Bulk Sulphur / Coal and at Mbao for unloading Phosphoric Acid.
METER GAUGE TRACK
18 km track between Darou – Tivaouane is owned by ICS. 6 km track between Stations PK13 – Mbao is operated and maintained by ICS and under the concession from GOS. Remaining track is owned by GOS and under concession from DBF/ GCO.

MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP
Maintenance workshop has 3 bays with under-gear inspection pit. In addition 20 T EOT Cranes, Synchronized Locomotive Lifting Jacks 25 T x 4, and Surface Wheel Turning Machine also exist.
Sulphur unloading Bin is available at the Sulphur unloading line.
Coal unloading facility was constructed during 2016 on commissioning new Power Plant.
TIVAOUANE STATION SIDING
Tivaouane Station is 18 km distance from Darou Terminal. ICS has two dedicated owned lines.
MBAO TERMINAL
Mbao terminal has the facility for unloading Acid wagons and pumping Acid to storage pools from where Acid is being pumped to Vessel through off shore pipe lines.
DAKAR PORT SULPHUR AND COAL LOADING TERMINAL
At Dakar Port ICS has Sulphur and Coal zones to store unloaded Sulphur/ Coal from vessel and to load trains through conveyors.
